God’s love is unimaginable, and it is beyond what we can fathom as human beings. I mean, how do you explain how God can love us so much when we disobey Him? He loved us even before we became His children and sent Jesus to die for our sins.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God longs to be in a continuous relationship with us, and the only way that is possible is through reconciling us to Himself through Jesus Christ. “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18). Christ gave His life for us to cleanse us from unrighteousness, and He gave us eternal life so that He would love us forever.
It doesn’t matter what you have done in your life, God loves you anyway. His love is not dependent on you, but who He is. 1 John 4:8 says that whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This Scripture is telling us that God is love, and because He is, we can love like He does when we have His love in our hearts. We can never be beyond God’s love, and we can praise God for that because we know that His love will never fail in our lives.
God has given us the meaning of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
The above Bible verses show you how God loves you without fail. He is patient and kind with you, and treats you with respect. Some people believe that God is out to punish them when they do wrong, yet He is patiently waiting for them to repent so that He can forgive them. God is not angry with you, and does not have a record of your wrongs after you repent. He protects you and is long-suffering toward you. His love will never fail you.
Never assume that God loves you like the world does because His love is beyond how the world defines it. The world’s love cannot compare to that of God because it is not unconditional and it fails often. The world may consider you unlovable but God knows you are always lovable in His eyes. He looks at you and sees how wonderful you are (Psalm 139:14).
God’s unfailing love will comfort you during your difficult seasons when you feel alone and everything around you is falling apart (Psalm 119:76). Be assured of God’s love always even when you feel like He is not there. He has promised to never leave or forsake you because He loves you. Because of His love, He will restore and redeem anything you have lost because He wants to restore your joy.
The enemy tries to make you believe that God doesn’t love you as much as He loves others who seem “favored” in all they do. This lie has made many people believe that God loves others more than He loves them. That is not true because you are loved by God. Comparing your life to that of others will make you question God’s love for you and this will only discourage you. Your life is unique, and just because others received the blessings you are waiting for doesn’t mean that God will never give them to you.
Put your hope in God’s unfailing love toward you because He is pleased when you do (Psalm 147:11). God doesn’t want us to doubt that we are loved by Him because He knows that it will affect our walk with Him. Because of this, He goes out of His way to show you how much He loves you so that you will be secure in His love. When you are secure in the love of God, you will weather the storms of life easily, and you will love others like God has loved you.
In John 15:9, Jesus asked us to remain in His love and this means that we should trust in the love He has shown us, and not let the circumstances of life make us believe otherwise. The times we question God’s love for us is when we are going through hard times. Yet this is the time that God wants us to know that He loves us and will help us overcome our challenges. The love of God will preserve your life and give you hope for a better future. We remain in God’s love when we have accepted His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
As you meditate on John 3:16, remember that God has given you eternal life through Jesus Christ and you will be with Him for eternity. His love for you goes beyond your physical life, and He has prepared a place for you in heaven when you leave this earth. Salvation is the greatest gift that God has given us because it removes the barrier of sin that separated us from Him. We now fellowship with Him daily, and He speaks to us as His beloved children.
To God, you are His beloved, and He loves you with an everlasting love. His love for you is not measured by how well you perform each day because there is nothing you can do to make Him love you more. He loves you more than you will ever know, and you can meditate on His love daily.
Everyday you wake up, remember that you are loved by God and you can spread His love to others. You can remind yourself or others of God’s amazing love with a gift that communicates that “you are loved.”
